Petra Njezic is one of our artists with very high potential - and we are not the only ones who think so. She was appointed in 2021 by the Cultural Promotion Commission as the first city artist of Aarau and was able to show her works in the City Hall Aarau through the exhibition "Raumgebungen". In 2022 she was part of the group exhibition "Auswahl 22" in the Aargauer Kunsthaus and also of the anniversary exhibition in the Trudelhaus in Baden. We act as Petra Njezic's manager.
Biography
Born in 1989 in Wetzikon ZH, raised in the canton of Aargau and in Croatia, graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb in 2008 with a Matura diploma in graphic design. In the same year, she began her studies at the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, Croatia. In 2014 she graduates with a Master of Art Education, with the thesis in the field of film. Since 2011 she has had several independent and group exhibitions, mainly in Croatia.
Since 2014 she lives again permanently in Aargau and is, in addition to various project work, also active as an art mediator and freelance artist. Since 2018, she has been intensively engaged with the themes of composition and form and is searching through the medium of painting. She was appointed as the first city artist of Aarau in 2021 by the Cultural Promotion Commission. In her city hall exhibition entitled "Raumgebungen" she showed her recent works from November 20, 2021 to February 19, 2022. In the same year (2022) she was part of the group exhibition "Auswahl 22" at the Aargauer Kunsthaus and also the anniversary exhibition at the Trudelhaus in Baden.

The "Kulturförderkommission" has unanimously appointed the artist Petra Njezic for the year 2021. She will be present with her work in the Town Hall from 6 November 2021 to 15 January 2022.
